Fr Philip North Team Rector
Fr Philip served his curacy in in Sunderland and was a parish priest in North Hartlepool before taking up the post of Administrator at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Fr Philip is Team Rector and priest to St Michael’s Church where he has developed links with social enterprise schemes, campaigned for social justice, encouraged study groups and vitalised our ministry to children and young people.
Fr James Elston Team Vicar
Fr James is the Team Vicar with responsibility for St Pancras Old Church and St Paul’s Camden Square.
Before taking up his current post he was a Self Supporting Priest within the Old St Pancras Team and an Optometrist working in the City of London.
Fr Paschal Worton Team Vicar
Fr Paschal was born in Africa, raised in Scotland and has worked in both rural and urban ministries in Dorset, Belfast, Cambridge, Worcestershire, Northumberland, Liverpool, Zimbabwe and Norfolk.
His priestly background has involved him in parochial life, but also in living and working in community with the homeless and other marginalised people. In recent years he has also been involved in retreat work and spiritual direction/confession ministry.
Fr Paschal values the spirituality of S.Francis and S.Clare, who sought, through prayer and the celebration of the Crib and the Cross, the renewal of the Church.
Fr Simon Atkinson Assistant Priest
Fr Simon is Headteacher of Hampstead Parochial CE School and has been working as an SSM in the parish for several years.
Fr Gavin Cooper Assistant Curate
Originally from Peterborough, Fr Gavin trained as a musician and worked as a pianist in both theatre and education (as well as playing the organ for church!).
He was a Pastoral Assistant in Peterborough before moving to St Stephen’s House, Oxford to train for ministry.
When not in church or sitting in front of a piano, he enjoys cooking and going to concerts.
Judy Powell Community Chaplain
Judy is a lay member of the parish pastoral team, is a Reader and a qualified Spiritual Director.
As a Community Chaplain she develops links between St Paul’s Church and local non church organisations.
Before joining the team part-time, Judy worked for 24 years in the motor industry.
Peter Southwood Parish Manager
As a lay minister in his own parish, and previously a church treasurer and a Link Officer in the Diocese of London to three African dioceses, Peter has wide experience of relating faith to work.
His prior education and training in peace studies and business studies helps underpins his strong commitment to the vision and ethos of this parish.
Brendan Collins Facilities Manager
Brendan is originally from Belfast and moved to London to study for a music diploma.
He is fluent in French and Spanish and in his spare time performs in a band called The Troubles.
Brendan also enjoys reading, football, travelling and yoga.
Julia Wood Team Rector P.A.
Julia studied English and has a background in music and teaching and along with her post as Team Rector P.A. is responsible for development and administration of the Pastoral Assistant Scheme.
She is Music Director at St Paul’s Church and enjoys natural history, cooking and walking the dog.
Jonathan Cooper Pastoral Assistant
Jonathan is working at St Pancras Old Church and St Paul’s Church under the supervision of Fr James. Before that he studied Chemical Engineering
in Cambridge and is originally from the West Midlands.
He enjoys music, cooking and visiting interesting places.
Rebecca Feeney Pastoral Assistant
Rebecca is working at St Michael’s Church under the supervision of Fr Philip. Rebecca calls herself a fake Northerner – she grew up in Preston, Lancashire, but was actually born in Cheltenham. Rebecca studied Music at Cardiff University, then worked as an administrator and a waitress before spending a year as a Pastoral Assistant at St Matthew’s, Westminster. She likes music of all kinds, singing in choirs, drawing, science fiction, embarrassingly geeky computer games and Blackpool FC.
Peter Nissen Pastoral Assistant
Peter is working at St Mary’s Church under the supervision of Fr Paschal. Peter has lived in Mirfield, West Yorkshire for some years, but is originally from Denmark. His main interests are music, movies and history. Along with travelling, he enjoys going to concerts, galleries, the cinema and museums, but also to a football stadium now and then.
